Elizabeth Choy is a war heroine and she has suffered a lot during World War 2. She has lived to tell the story and it is a very touching one.
She gave up her education to provide for a family and survived the harsh conditions of living in a dark cell. Even though, she was separated from her husband, she never gave up and carried on looking for him. She even developed a fear of electrical appliances because of the electrocution she had. Even when she was given the opportunity to identify the Japanese officer who tortured her, she forgave him and did not mention any names. She also helped set up the school for the blind.
Considering her contribution to the school, society and country, I think she is a very good example for us to learn from. She helped people who was in need no matter how old she is. Helpful, passionate, caring and of course an inspiring figure.......YAY!!!!!!
